UECHI-RYU  San Jose

We are a traditional OKIKUKAI Okinawa recognized school with both Sensei Sargent and Sensei Earle being Okinawa-certified master instructors. All black belt levels are certified by the OKIKUKAI Okinawa organization. Our Uechi-Ryu School has been in our same San Jose location for over 50 years. We accept adults and teenage students aged approximately 15 years. We don't have children's classes and are happy to help with referrals. We are part of an association of Western United States Uechi-Ryu schools as part of our OKIKUKAI West Organization. Our school operates with reasonable student fees and is not a commercial dojo but a member-driven karate club.  Our classes are conducted in very much the same was as they are in the home of our style, Okinawa, Japan.
